Groupe de sécurité


Comme le nom l'indique le « groupe de sécurité » est le composant qui assure la sécurité de notre système de chauffage. Un groupe de sécurité se compose toujours de trois éléments. La première est la jauge de pression (manomètre), où l'on peut lire la pression de l'eau courante. Au milieu est le purgeur d'air qui évacue l'air présente dans le système de chauffage afin d'éviter les dommages liés à la corrosion. Enfin, la soupape de sécurité, qui est l'élément de sécurité le plus important du  système de chauffage. Il évacue l'eau de chauffage si la pression devient trop élevée, évitant ainsi des dommages qui pourrai être causé à la chaudière.

Where to install it

The boiler safety group shall be installed at the highest point of the boiler or in its immediate vicinity. Often the boilers have 2 outlets for heating water, one of which is for the safety group. The distance between the safety unit and the boiler must not exceed 1 m in length and the size of the inlet section is generally 1.

The safety group is made of brass. Like all metals it communicates heat very easily. In order to limit heat losses as much as possible, manufacturers provide insulation for this purpose, which is usually included.

How to inspect the safety group

The safety group requires periodic inspection to detect deficiencies in the heating system in advance. For this purpose, the safety valve must be checked every 6 months.
Function test safety valve:
1. Think in place of a container to collect the heating water discharged from the safety valve.
2. Protect yourself from possible splashing of hot water.
3. The safety valve cap turns slightly counterclockwise, allowing the water to emerge.
4. After releasing the cap the water should not flow from the safety valve anymore.
1.-If this is the case, the safety valve works properly.
2. -if not, the safety valve does not close properly and must be replaced.
5. Fill the system to the desired pressure.
